Before you publish

Replace every square-bracket placeholder with your real registered business details, and have this document reviewed by a professional. It is a starting template, not legal advice.

This policy explains what personal information [YOUR REGISTERED BUSINESS NAME] collects when you use EpicVision Skills, why we collect it, and what control you have over it.

1. What we collect

Information you give us

  • Account: your name and email address, and a password (stored only as a secure hash).
  • Profile: anything optional you choose to add, such as a phone number, city or avatar.
  • Assignments: the video or image files and notes you submit for review.
  • Messages: what you send us through the contact form or by email.

Information created by using the platform

  • Progress: which lessons you have watched and completed, and how far through each video you are.
  • Purchase records: what you bought, when, the amount, and the payment and order references from Razorpay.
  • Technical data: IP address and browser information, used for security and rate limiting.

What we never store

We do not collect or store your card number, CVV, UPI PIN, bank credentials or any other sensitive payment credentials. Those are handled entirely by Razorpay on their own systems. We only receive references to the transaction and its status.

2. Why we use it

  • To create your account and give you access to what you purchased.
  • To save your progress so you can continue where you left off.
  • To review your assignments and give you feedback.
  • To send you essential emails: welcome, purchase confirmation, live class reminders, new lessons and account notices.
  • To answer your support questions.
  • To keep the platform secure and prevent abuse.
  • To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.

3. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share only what is needed with:

  • Supabase — database, authentication and file storage.
  • Razorpay — payment processing.
  • Mux — video hosting and delivery.
  • Netlify — website hosting.
  • Resend — sending transactional email.
  • Analytics — if enabled, aggregate usage measurement. We do not send names, emails, phone numbers or payment identifiers to analytics.
  • Authorities — where we are legally required to.

4. Cookies

We use cookies that are necessary for the site to work: keeping you signed in and protecting forms. If analytics is enabled, it may set its own measurement cookies. We do not use advertising cookies.

5. How long we keep it

  • Account and progress data: while your account exists.
  • Purchase and payment records: as long as required by tax and accounting law.
  • Assignment files: while your access lasts, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
  • Contact messages: up to 24 months.

6. Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, or to stop sending you non-essential email. Write to support@example.com from your registered email address. Note that deleting your account also removes your course access and progress, and that we may need to retain payment records for legal reasons.

7. Security

Access to your data is protected by authentication and database-level row security, so one student cannot read another student’s progress, submissions or purchases. Paid videos are served through signed, expiring playback links. Traffic is encrypted in transit. No system is perfect, so please use a strong, unique password.

8. Children

The platform is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child has registered, contact us and we will remove the account.

9. Changes

We will update this page if our practices change, and update the date at the top. Material changes will also be emailed to registered students.

10. Contact
